Former Manchester United striker Terry Gibson has backed David Moyes to be successful at Real Sociedad.
Moyes, who was sacked by United in April, officially took charge of the Spanish outfit late on Monday evening.
Gibson believes that the Scot will be "a really good fit" for the Basque club due to the players that he will have available.
"I think he is a really good fit for Real Sociedad. The Spanish style is different but La Real are one of those teams that like to play direct football," Gibson told talkSPORT.
"They always seem to rely on a big, strong centre-forward, which they have got, so it won't be a massive change for him.
"The players there are waiting for someone who is a leader, which they didn't have with the last coach. They've been crying out for that kind of person and they've now got one in David Moyes."
Moyes will be officially unveiled to the media on Thursday afternoon.
