Javier Hernandez hails "unbelievable" Ryan Giggs

Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez says that working with Ryan Giggs is a "privilege".

Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez has described working with Ryan Giggs as a "privilege".

Sunday's trip to Southampton will see the Welshman take charge of what is believed to be his final game as interim boss ahead of Louis van Gaal's reported appointment.

Nevertheless, Giggs, who substituted himself on for his 963rd United appearance in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Hull City, has left a lasting impression on the Mexico international regardless of what happens in the future.

"It's unbelievable," Hernandez told MUTV. "There are no words to describe him. What he has done [in the game] is unbelievable.

"To be at a club for 26 years, to be at a very high level for all those years is incredible. He's helped a lot of young people, just as other people helped him. It's been a privilege to be with him.

"I'm going to be one of the players for Giggs. You never know if he's going to stay next year or if we will bring in another manager but, if Giggsy stays or not, it's been unbelievable to play for him. There are not enough words to describe it."

The 40-year-old made his Red Devils debut way back in 1991.
