Javier Hernandez: 'I must repay Manchester United's faith'

Javier Hernandez vows to repay the faith shown in him by Manchester United this season.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has vowed to repay the faith showed in him during his first season at the club.

The Mexican joined the Premier League champions from Chivas last year and went on to score 19 goals during his first campaign in England.

However, despite recording a healthy goal return, the 23-year-old has insisted that there is even more to come in the season ahead.

"I've been treated wonderfully in Manchester and I simply need to repay that faith," Hernandez told Fifa.com.

"I had a very good first season and I hope to be able to contribute much more. I think there are good times ahead with this team and I'm very excited about the opportunities ahead in the coming season."

Hernandez will miss today's trip to West Bromwich Albion today after sustaining a concussion during United's pre-season tour of North America.
