Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has insisted that his side's luck will change if they continue to create chances.
United have won just one of their last eight Premier League outings, leaving them already nine points adrift of the top four and 13 behind league leaders Chelsea.
Manager Jose Mourinho has often bemoaned his side's bad luck in matches this season, but Herrera is confident that results will improve in the coming weeks.
"To be honest, I don't think we have to look at the table and think who is above, who is below, who is the next game. Luck is going to change for us for sure because we are doing good things. I have never seen one team who is creating more chances than the opponent and doesn't win, so if we can keep playing the way we can then we will get the results," he told reporters.
"To be honest, I don't want to see the table. I just want to think Tottenham and then try to win, then we have Crystal Palace, West Brom, Sunderland. We want to go on a winning run because we are behind fourth place and if we stay there we will not be so happy. I don't know the stats, but for sure we are creating more chances than last season and we are conceding less chances but we are worse off in the table.
"I cannot believe it. Football is like this but if we carry on like this, then our luck will change for sure. We have very good players. The most difficult thing in football is to create chances. We just need to keep doing what we have been doing and for sure time will be better for us."
Mourinho has made a worse start to his managerial career at Manchester United than both David Moyes and Louis van Gaal before him.
