Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway says he feels "disappointed" that Wilfried Zaha will be unable to play under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has expressed his 'disappointment' that winger Wilfried Zaha will be unable to play under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

The Scottish boss, who announced his retirement yesterday, secured Zaha's signature during the January transfer window, striking a deal that would result in the 20-year-old finishing the campaign on loan at Selhurst Park.

"Ferguson is the best manager of my life time and as a manager he is a great person to deal with on a matchday or through the working week," BBC Sport quotes Holloway as saying.

"I am disappointed for Wilf because it would have been great for the lad to have worked with him, but a great final signing for Sir Alex."

Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Everton manager David Moyes will replace Ferguson at Old Trafford.
