Odion Ighalo says that Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes will "take the Premier League by storm" once he has fully settled in English football.

Odion Ighalo has claimed that Bruno Fernandes will "take the Premier League by storm" once he has fully settled at Manchester United.

Both Ighalo and Fernandes joined the Red Devils during the January transfer window, with the former arriving on loan from Shanghai Shenhua while the latter competed a permanent move from Sporting Lisbon.

The duo have impressed for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side thus far; Ighalo scoring four times in eight appearances, leading to suggestions that he could join the club on a permanent deal this summer.

Fernandes, meanwhile, has provided three goals and four assists in nine appearances in all competitions, and the Portugal international has been tipped to "take the Premier League by storm".

"He [Fernandes] is intelligent, he has foresight, he has vision. He sees what he wants to do with the ball before it comes to him," Ighalo told United's official website.

"You can see the understanding between him and [Anthony] Martial, you can see the understanding between me and him, so he's a very good player - and he's not even settled down yet. He comes from a very different place to the Premier League. When that guy has settled down, he's going to take the Premier League by storm."

Fernandes was strongly linked with a switch to United last summer but had to wait until the start of 2020 to secure a move to the 20-time English champions.
