Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insists that he has no plans to coach the national team of his native Portugal in the immediate future.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that he has no plans to coach Portugal in the immediate future.

The 55-year-old, who is contracted to the Red Devils until 2020, previously stated that he would consider taking the reins of his country's national team when he became tired of club management.

However, asked by GQ he is any closer to getting tired, Mourinho replied: "No. No! I am not close at all.

"I think being the coach of a club is my job. Because I need to play matches every week and train every day.

"I would say I am even further away from being tired now than I was a few years ago."

Euro 2016 champions Portugal will be managed by Fernando Santos at the World Cup his summer as they look to become back-to-back tournament winners.
