Defender Victor Lindelof says that he is continuing to develop as a player, despite a mixed opening campaign at Manchester United.

Defender Victor Lindelof has insisted that he has had "a good year" during his first season with Manchester United.

Last summer, United signed Lindelof in a big-money deal from Benfica but manager Jose Mourinho handed the Sweden international just 13 starts in the Premier League.

However, despite failing to establish himself at Old Trafford so far, Lindelof is taking the positives and has said that he is continuing to develop as a player under the guidance of the Portuguese.

The 23-year-old told Reuters: "I've learned a lot of things, it's been a good year for me.

"I've been playing with a lot of good players and I've been learning a lot from my coach, Jose Mourinho, so there's a lot I've learned this season."

Lindelof is expected to feature for Sweden in this summer's World Cup, with the Scandinavian nation being drawn against South Korea, Germany and Mexico in the group stages.
