Gary Lineker predicts "electric" 2016-17 season

Former England striker Gary Lineker predicts an "electric" 2016-17 Premier League season after Jose Mourinho was confirmed as Manchester United's new boss.

Former England striker Gary Lineker has claimed that the 2016-17 Premier League season "will be electric" after Jose Mourinho was officially appointed as Manchester United's new first-team coach.

Mourinho signed on the dotted line on Thursday and the club confirmed the deal on Friday morning, with the Portuguese signing an initial three-year contract at Old Trafford.

The 53-year-old has joined the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte and Arsene Wenger in the Premier League for the new season and Lineker is predicting fireworks.

The fixtures for the new campaign will be announced in the middle of next month.
