Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku says that he has 'matured' as a player since leaving Manchester United last summer.

Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku has claimed that he has 'matured' as a player since leaving Manchester United.

The Belgium international left Old Trafford for Inter last summer and has been in impressive form for Antonio Conte's side, scoring 23 times in 35 appearances in all competitions.

Lukaku has said that he has worked on more aspects of his game during the 2019-20 campaign, including providing assists for teammates, of which he has five in all competitions this term.

"When you mature, it's not only about yourself anymore. Scoring is my drug, that's what I live on. But the older you get, you have to use your intelligence, I am a student of the game," Lukaku told former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry on an Instagram Live.

"I think if I want to help my team, I have to be capable to give assists. It cannot just be me [scoring], it has to be the guy next to you. Everyone has to feel important. If I cannot shoot myself, I will always look for the last pass."

The 26-year-old recently claimed that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to keep him at Old Trafford last summer but he "didn't have the energy" to remain at the club.
