Manchester United reportedly held 'positive talks' with Erik ten Hag last week over a new contract, with an announcement on the manager's future potentially arriving in the near future.
Ten Hag's position was called into question due to the team's struggles during the 2023-24 campaign, with the Red Devils finishing down in eighth position in the Premier League table.
However, the season ended with success in the FA Cup final, which allowed the team to qualify for the group stage of the 2024-25 Europa League.
Following an end-of-season review, senior figures at Old Trafford decided to keep Ten Hag, with the 54-year-old now planning for a third campaign last the helm.
Ten Hag's existing deal with the 20-time English champions is due to expire next summer, but it is understood that he could soon pen an extension.

Ten Hag could soon sign a new deal at Man United
According to Sky Sports News, 'positive talks' over a new deal 'have continued to progress', and there is confidence from all parties that an agreement will be reached in the near future.
England head coach Gareth Southgate was heavily linked with the managerial role at Old Trafford over the summer, in addition to the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel.
However, it was ultimately decided by the club that Ten Hag was the ideal manager to lead the team forward despite their struggles during the 2023-24 campaign.
Injuries made it difficult for Ten Hag to field his best side last season, while the club's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe allegedly believed that it was right to give the Dutchman the opportunity to work within the new structure after years of off-the-field problems.

Hake, Van Nistelrooy 'could arrive at Old Trafford'
There are set to be changes to Ten Hag's coaching staff this summer, with ex-Red Devils forward Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was most recently in charge of PSV Eindhoven, widely expected to arrive.
Van Nistelrooy could be one of Ten Hag's new assistants next season alongside Go Ahead Eagles manager Rene Hake, with the 52-year-old also being tipped to join the club.
As a result, both Steve McClaren and Mitchell van der Gaag could both depart this summer, with Ratcliffe keen to make changes to the staff after a disappointing 2023-24 season.
Man United's players not involved for their countries this summer are due to begin pre-season training with the club on July 8, ahead of their first friendly against Rosenborg on July 15.
The 20-time English champions will then face Rangers in their second pre-season match before heading to the USA for fixtures against Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool.
