Juan Mata believes Manchester United will improve

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata insists that the team will improve following their defeat to Liverpool.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata believes that the team will turn around their fortunes following their defeat to Liverpool.

The Spaniard played as David Moyes's side were beaten 3-0 by their rivals at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Mata has insisted that the players will do all that they can to recover from the defeat.

"The storm will pass and the sun will rise again. I have no doubt," Mata wrote in his blog on United's official website.

"Besides, no one said this would be easy, but this is football. It gives you fantastic moments but also very hard times you have to cope with, when you have to show pride and professionalism until the end.

"It was a tough defeat and I want to tell you that we will give everything we have in order to forget about this in the remaining games."

United's next match is against Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
