Former Manchester United manager Wilf McGuinness feels that David Moyes will be successful at the club.

Wilf McGuinness has tipped David Moyes to succeed during his stint in charge of Manchester United.

Scot Moyes will take charge of the club in July from Sir Alex Ferguson, who is to retire following 27 trophy-laden years at the helm.

McGuinness famously struggled to replace another of United's most successful managers, Sir Matt Busby, in 1969, but the 75-year-old former wing-half does not believe that Moyes will have the same problems that he experienced.

"What has happened in the past is great because we have two wonderful Scottish managers in Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson and now we have another Scot waiting in line. I respect him a lot and he will be a top notch manager," BBC Sport quotes McGuinness as saying.

McGuinness's time as manager at Old Trafford lasted just 18 months before Busby came out of retirement to replace him.
