Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reveals that his duties were unaffected by his one-match touchline ban against Swansea City.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that his one-match touchline ban was "not a problem" during his side's 3-1 win over Swansea City this afternoon.

Mourinho was forced to watch on from the stands at the Liberty Stadium having accepted two FA misconduct charges, but it did not affect their performance as United raced into a 3-0 lead by half time.

That was enough to hand United just their second league win in their last eight outings, and Mourinho confirmed after the match that his duties were unaffected by the ban.

"I did what I do. I made the changes, sent a message when something needs to be told to the team, and I was in the dressing room before the game and at half time," he told reporters.

"One thing is the suspension that stops the manager to communicate, that is a problem.

"Another thing is the suspension when the manager can communicate with the team, see the team and speak to the assistants on the bench. So in this case it was not a problem."

Manchester United now sit sixth in the Premier League table following the win, six points adrift of the top four.
