Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted that his side must start to create more chances for their push to close the 12-point gap between themselves in seventh and Manchester City in fourth.
Moyes said that he has been pleased with what he has seen from United in defence in recent games, but wants more chances to be created in the final third.
"We need to get back to creating more opportunities," Moyes told reporters. "I actually think we have played quite well in games. When we have tended to score first we have gone on to get positive results. Play has not been bad but results need to improve that is for sure.
"You want the creativity. The introduction of Juan Mata has helped that but when chances are not being created you need to keep the back door shut and make sure you are not chasing games."
United take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
