Brendan Rodgers says that he has given no thought to leaving Leicester City at a time when he continues to be linked with Manchester United.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has again dismissed the possibility of becoming the next boss of Manchester United.

Prior to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being removed from his position at Old Trafford, Rodgers had criticised reports which had linked him with the job.

With the role now vacant, the Northern Irishman was again quizzed by the media ahead of Leicester's Europa League fixture with Legia Warsaw.

While acknowledging that he understood why he was being mentioned for the job, Rodgers reaffirmed that he was only focused on representing the Foxes.

Rodgers told reporters: "I've always said my commitment is here. My commitment is to this group of players, this team. We've created an environment and a culture here which is about the continuous development of the team and the players.

"That's the way I see it - even more so in this period where our results are a little bit inconsistent. So it (leaving) doesn't come across my mind to be honest. But I respect you guys have work to do and stories to say and want to create a narrative. But for me, it doesn't include me."

Rodgers has endured a difficult spell at the King Power Stadium, with Leicester winning just four of their last 15 games in all competitions.
