Thiago criticises Barcelona

Spanish midfielder Thiago has criticised former club Barcelona for not having full confidence in his ability.

The 22-year-old swapped the Camp Nou for Bayern Munich in the summer and has impressed during his seven months with the Champions League holders.

"My decision [to come to Bayern] was wonderful. It was about the leadership. I got the impression at Barca that they didn't believe in me," Thiago told Kicker.

"The club are the best in the world, it's great to play in the Bundesliga."

Manchester United were also believed to be interested in the midfielder before he made the move to the Bundesliga.
