Man United boss Louis van Gaal: 'I delegate duties and earn a lot of money'

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says that he 'delegates and earns a lot of money' during an interview about his managerial methods.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has opened up about his managerial methods, stating that with the introduction of various departments, all that he has to do is "delegate".

The Dutchman, who took charge of the Red Devils from David Moyes last year, has been in management since 1991 when he took on his first role as Ajax boss.

This season, Van Gaal has been criticised for his tactics as United have struggled to pose much of an attacking threat, but he has defended his approach.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Van Gaal said: "I'm from a time where [the manager] did everything.

"Now I'm the manager and I have a sports science department, I have a scouting department, I have a medical department, I have assistant managers, I have assistant coaches. I don't do anything - nothing! I delegate. I delegate, and I earn a lot of money."

Van Gaal has won the league title with every club that he has coached.
