Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic officially returns to training after spending five months out with a serious knee injury.

Manchester United captain Namenja Vidic has officially made his return to training following a serious knee injury.

The Serbian was ruled out for the final three months of last season after he damaged cruciate knee ligaments in a Champions League match against Basel in February.

The 30-year-old has now taken part in a fitness session at the club's Carrington training ground with players who did not feature at Euro 2012.

New signing Shinji Kagawa also took part in training for the first time with the Red Devils after he completed a move from Borussia Dortmund last month.
