Manchester United's Danny Welbeck says that he is keen to start finding the net on a more regular basis.

Danny Welbeck has admitted that he would like to score more goals for Manchester United.

Having notched up 12 goals last term, the 22-year-old has found the net just twice this season.

The lack of goals has coincided with Welbeck's switch to a wider position in recent months. However, despite admitting that it is more difficult to add to his tally from on the wing, the England international is determined to improve his goals return.

"I've been played out wide a lot of times. I'd like to get more goals but it's more difficult to score when playing out wide. You need to be more creative as well but scoring is part of my game I'd like to resurrect," he told MUTV.

"If I can add goals from playing on the wing, then it's going to be beneficial to the whole team."

Welbeck joined United as a trainee back in 2005.
