Premier League predictions gameweek 28: Nathan Evans vs. Sports Mole
Sports Mole takes on Nathan Evans for a Premier League predictions challenge in gameweek 28 of the 2023-24 season.

The latest edition of the defining rivalry in Premier League football over recent years headlines gameweek 28 as Liverpool welcome Manchester City to Anfield in a blockbuster encounter.

The Reds enter the match as league leaders, but defending champions Man City are only one place and one point behind heading into the weekend as Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola face off for what could be the last time.

However, while those sides will occupy the top two spots going into the weekend, they could have both been knocked down a place by the time they kick off as free-scoring Arsenal have the chance to catapult themselves to the summit when they host Brentford on Saturday.

With four English teams in Europa League or Europa Conference League action on Thursday night, there are only five matches on Saturday this weekend, with Manchester United and Everton getting the gameweek underway at Old Trafford.

In addition to that heavyweight showdown at Anfield, there are three more games on Sunday too, including a big match in the top-four battle as Aston Villa entertain Tottenham Hotspur.

The weekend will then come to a close with another tasty-looking clash between Chelsea and Newcastle United on Monday night.

Each gameweek, Sports Mole is taking on a famous musician or band in a prediction competition, and this week it is the turn of Nathan Evans.

Nathan Evans Q&A

Nathan Evans press shot

How did you come to support Rangers and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?

I've been a Rangers fan for as long as I can remember. My grandad supports Rangers, my dad supports Rangers and now I'm the exact same. It's a family thing.

One of my favourite memories as a Rangers fan was being in the stadium when Joe Aribo scored in the Europa League final in Seville. We might not have held onto the lead for too long but for that period of time my head was in the clouds, what a feeling, what a memory.

Who have been your favourite five players for your club?

Lorenzo Amoruso, Ally McCoist, Allan McGregor, Nacho Novo, Barry Ferguson.

What's going on for you as an artist at the moment?

I'm currently on tour in Germany at the moment which is going extremely well! And I'm always writing and recording and jumping into the studio whenever I can, working towards getting my second album out for September!

So fingers crossed everything goes to plan and hopefully everyone enjoys the album as much as I've been enjoying making it!
