Roberto Firmino returns to Liverpool's starting XI ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting with Manchester United at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made two changes to his starting XI ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Manchester United at Anfield.

Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge, who started in the Reds' 1-1 draw at Newcastle United, are omitted in favour of Roberto Firmino and Emre Can.

Mane picked up an injury while on international duty with Senegal and is out of the squad, while Sturridge is on the Liverpool bench.

United boss Jose Mourinho has handed Matteo Darmian a rare start as he makes three changes from their 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Marouane Fellaini, Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford make way, while Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial join Darmian in the starting lineup.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Coutinho, Salah, Firmino
Subs: Karius, Milner, Sturridge, Klavan, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold

Manchester United: De Gea, Young, Jones, Smalling, Valencia, Darmian, Herrera, Matic, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Lukaku
Subs: Romero, Lindelof, Mata, Lingard, Rashford, Blind, Tuanzebe
