Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer rumours, as Tottenham Hotspur duo Japhet Tanganga and Jack Clarke prepare for potential exits from the club.

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Japhet Tanganga is thought to be a man in demand, with AC Milan and Bournemouth both seeking to swoop for the 23-year-old.

A serious knee injury derailed Tanganga's 2021-22 season, with the England Under-21 international only making 19 appearances for the Lilywhites in all competitions.

The arrival of Clement Lenglet from Barcelona will make it more difficult for Tanganga to force his way back into the side, but he remains under contract with the club until 2025.

Nevertheless, a report from the Daily Mail states that both Milan and Bournemouth would be interested in a deal for the centre-back, and Tottenham are open to the idea of a loan departure.

Lenglet's arrival from Barcelona was confirmed on Friday evening, with the Frenchman arriving to compete with Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Cristian Romero at the back.

Another Tottenham man who could be on the way out of North London is Jack Clarke, whose path into the first team seems restricted with Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura ahead of him.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Sunderland and was a regular for the Black Cats, coming up with one goal and four assists in 20 outings in all tournaments.

Clarke aided Sunderland's efforts to return to the Championship, and according to Football Insider, the Black Cats have now agreed a deal to sign the attacker permanently.

The report claims that Clarke has already completed the first part of his medical with Sunderland, and the two sides have reached a 'full agreement' over a fee.

Clarke would therefore follow Ajax-bound Steven Bergwijn out of the door and has only made four senior appearances for Spurs since arriving from Leeds United for £9.9m in 2019.

Further North, the future of Christian Eriksen was seemingly decided a couple of weeks ago, with the 30-year-old allegedly agreeing to join Manchester United on a three-year deal.

Eriksen is officially a free agent after his contract with Brentford expired at the end of June, but nothing has been signed with the Red Devils as of yet.

Bees boss Thomas Frank has always remained optimistic about the chances of Eriksen extending his stay at the Brentford Community Stadium, and the Dane's stance has not changed since news of a supposed agreement with the Red Devils.

"Right now he's not a Brentford player, but he's not a player with anyone else either. It may well be that right now it looks like it's going to be a different place than with us, but let's see," Frank told Danish outlet BT.

Eriksen amassed one goal and four assists from 11 Premier League appearances for Brentford during a six-month spell and trained with current United boss Erik ten Hag at Ajax before his return to England.

Finally, Southampton striker Adam Armstrong arrived in the Premier League with high expectations for the 2021-22 season, but the 25-year-old found the step-up to the top flight challenging.

Armstrong only hit two goals and set up three more in 23 top-flight games for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side, with Che Adams and Armando Broja often preferred up top.

Watford are allegedly interested in signing Armstrong on loan for the 2022-23 campaign, and according to Football Insider, Southampton are willing to sanction a temporary departure.

The report adds that Watford are not the only Championship club keeping a close eye on the situation, but Armstrong would rather remain in the Premier League than drop down a tier.

Southampton are likely to be in the market for a new centre-forward following Broja and Shane Long's departures, but Armstrong remains under contract until 2025.
