Deadline day key events
Could Arsenal star in "best condition" rejoin old team for free?
Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have apparently shown an interest in re-signing Thomas Partey from Arsenal next summer.
The Ghana international made a name for himself as a tough-tackling lynchpin during his time in the Spanish capital from 2012 to 2020, before signing for the Gunners in a deal worth circa £42m.
Partey's time in the Premier League has been plagued by numerous fitness problems, though, and the signing of Declan Rice in 2023 would seemingly precede the 31-year-old's exit.
However, with Rice instead playing as a number eight rather than a number six, Partey has risen back up the ranks this season, starting every Premier League and Champions League game so far.
Spurs 'on scouting mission' for 20-year-old who tormented Man United
Tottenham Hotspur reportedly had scouts in attendance to watch Porto's Samu Omorodion torment Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The 20-year-old was at the centre of a protracted summer transfer saga involving Chelsea, and it appeared that he would join the Blues in a transaction also involving Conor Gallagher.
However, a deal collapsed at the eleventh hour due to reported contractual disagreements, leading to a ludicrous situation in which Gallagher was left in limbo after completing his medical and media duties.
Atletico and Chelsea eventually found a compromise, as Joao Felix returned to Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal to allow Gallagher to complete his move, and Omorodion subsequently joined Porto in a surprise £12.6m transfer.
"Time to focus" - Wonderkid with stunning goal record confirms Man United move
Chido Obi Martin has officially confirmed his move to Manchester United, with the teenager taking to social media to reveal his delight at his switch to the 20-time English champions.
The 16-year-old had the chance to sign a new contract with Arsenal, but he decided to leave the Gunners in search of pastures new despite enjoying a staggering 2023-24 campaign.
Obi Martin scored 32 goals in 18 appearances for Arsenal Under-18s last season, including 28 goals in his final nine appearances of the campaign, but he believed that his development would be best served away from the North London club.
A number of teams were linked with his services, but Man United won the race, with a medical believed to have taken place in August, but the complex nature of the deal meant that the 20-time English champions had to wait before a deal could be completed.
Bayern chief addresses Musiala future amid ongoing exit reports
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has said that he is "very confident" when it comes to a potential new contract for Jamal Musiala.
There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the Germany international's future, with Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool said to be among the clubs keeping a close eye on his situation.
Musiala has a contract at Allianz Arena until June 2026, but there have been claims that he could potentially be available next summer if Bayern are unable to convince him to sign a new deal.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the best young players in world football, and he has represented Bayern on 171 occasions, scoring 46 goals and registering 34 assists in the process.
Man City expiring contracts: Who is free to leave next summer and in 2026?
After winning a record fourth successive Premier League title in 2023-24, Manchester City will endeavour to preserve their place at the summit of English football in 2024-25 as well as compete for other domestic and continental trophies this term.
The Citizens have one of the most star-studded squads in world football, with some players tied down to long-term contracts and others facing uncertain futures at the club.
Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the Man City players whose contracts either expire at the end of next summer, or in 2026.
Spurs to use Italian connections to beat Man City to Rodri replacement?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci during the January transfer window.
Despite an indifferent start to the season, Ange Postecoglou's side have began to impress in recent weeks and have recorded five successive wins in all competitions.
There is the hope that using younger players in different cup competitions - such as Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall - will eventually lead to them becoming mainstays in the first-team squad.
Should that prove to be the case, Spurs will not be short in the central-midfield department anytime soon, there already being four combative options as well as several attack-minded alternatives.
Arsenal attacker offered change to re-sign for old club?
Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has reportedly been offered the chance to return to one of his former clubs.
When the 27-year-old made the switch to the Emirates Stadium in 2022, the hope was that he would establish himself down the centre of the Gunners attack.
Although the Brazil international initially impressed under Mikel Arteta, he has since dropped down the pecking order at the Premier League giants.
Just 41 of his 57 Premier League appearances have come from the starting lineup, while he has also only contributed 15 goals in England's top flight since August 2022.
Forward arrival: Barcelona 'emerge as favourites' for goal machine
Barcelona are reportedly at the head of the queue for Lille forward Jonathan David.
The Canada international has again been in excellent form for Lille during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring eight goals and registering two assists in 12 appearances in all competitions.
David has managed five goals in his opening six Ligue 1 matches of the season, while he found the back of the net against Real Madrid in the Champions League last week.
The 24-year-old's penalty saw Lille record a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid, with the European and Spanish champions losing for the first time in all competitions since January.
Life after Ten Hag? Man United 'reignite interest' in £38m Spanish centre-back
Manchester United are reportedly considering reigniting their interest in Spanish defender Pau Torres, who is set to come up against the Red Devils for Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
The 20-time English champions were heavily linked with Torres during his time at Villarreal, and it had widely been expected that he would move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022.
However, upon his arrival as head coach, Erik ten Hag put the brakes on a deal in order to target Lisandro Martinez, with the Argentina international following his manager from Ajax.
According to Fichajes, Man United have now reignited their interest in Torres, with the club looking to see whether a deal could be possible during next summer's transfer window.
De Bruyne replacement? Man City 'to battle' Liverpool for playmaker
Liverpool and Manchester City are both reportedly tracking Georgiy Sudakov, with the 22-year-old making a strong start to the 2023-24 campaign for Shakhtar Donetsk.
The attacking midfielder has scored three goals and registered one assist in nine appearances for Shakhtar this term, while he has featured on two occasions in the Champions League in the early stages of the season.
According to TBR Football, both Liverpool and Man City had scouts in attendance for Shakhtar's Champions League clash with Atalanta BC last week, with Sudakov the focus of their attention.
The report claims that the Premier League duo will continue to 'assess' his performances in the coming months with a view to making a move during next summer's transfer window.
32-goal wonderkid 'signs Man United contract' after complicated ordeal
Manchester United have now allegedly officially completed the signing of wonderkid Chido Obi Martin.
The 16-year-old decided against renewing his contract with Arsenal over the summer despite enjoying a spectacular 2023-24 campaign for the club, scoring 32 goals in 18 appearances for the club's Under-18s.
There was a scramble for his services over the summer, with a number of lucrative offers said to have been placed on the table, but Man United quickly moved to the head of the queue for his signature.
An announcement from the 20-time English champions regarding the deal has not yet been made, though, as the move has been subject to the Premier League's five-step investigation, which is required when a player switches between two Category One academies.
Real Madrid 'enter the race' for in-demand striker after eye-catching start
Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.
There was a host of speculation surrounding the Colombia international's future over the summer, with West Ham United and Chelsea both believed to be interested in his signature.
However, the transfer window closed with the 20-year-old remaining at Villa Park, and he has scored six goals in nine appearances for Unai Emery's side during the 2024-25 campaign.
The forward has managed four goals in six Premier League appearances, while he famously hit the winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week.
