Chelsea emerge as the favourites to sign Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly now the favourites to sign Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer.

The 25-year-old, who is currently with the England squad at Euro 2020, enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for Villa, scoring seven times and contributing 12 assists in 27 outings in all competitions.

Grealish still has more than four years left to run on his contract at Villa Park, but talk of a summer exit has surfaced once again, with Manchester City and Manchester United again being credited with an interest.

According to Fichajes, though, Chelsea have now emerged as the favourites to secure the playmaker's signature during this summer's transfer window.

Grealish struggled with a shin injury in the latter stages of last season but did return to feature in Villa's final four Premier League matches against Everton, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

The attacker also started both of England's pre-Euro 2020 friendlies against Austria and Romania but was an unused substitute for the 1-0 win over Croatia in the team's tournament opener on Sunday afternoon.
