However, speculation persists regarding a potential return to United, almost 11-and-a-half years since his departure for Real Madrid.
According to Auto Esporte, United's shirt sponsors see value in helping the English giants fund a move for the Portuguese superstar.
While United would be able to afford any transfer fee for Ronaldo, wages may become an issue if they do not receive assistance from sponsors or prize money.
Ronaldo has influenced sales at Juventus' sponsor Jeep since his arrival in 2018, leaving Chevrolet to expect the same impact should the attacker return to English football.
