A report claims that Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti will lead the mass exodus of players from Barcelona, with as many as nine first-team stars on their way out.

Barcelona are reportedly hoping to offload Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti this summer following the club's disappointing end to the campaign.

The Catalan giants were on course for a treble with a month of the season left to play, only to capitulate against Liverpool in the Champions League semi-finals, followed by a shock 2-1 loss to Valencia in the Copa del Rey final.

Despite still managing to ease their way to back-to-back La Liga titles, Diario Sport suggests that Barca have put plans in place to freshen up the squad ahead of 2019-20.

As many as nine players could be moved on, it is claimed, with Coutinho and Umtiti two of the most likely casualties.

Both players struggled to make an impact this season and a number of Premier League clubs are rumoured to be waiting to pounce, including the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Ivan Rakitic and Malcom also face uncertain futures at Camp Nou, as do Jasper Cillessen, Thomas Vermaelen and Rafinha, while Jeison Murillo and Kevin-Prince Boateng will move on now that their loan deals have expired.
