Cristiano Ronaldo is not looking to leave Manchester United this summer despite the recent speculation surrounding his future, according to a report.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly not looking to leave Manchester United during this summer's transfer window despite the recent rumours surrounding the Portuguese.

The 37-year-old scored 24 goals and registered three assists in 38 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2021-22 campaign, but it was a disappointing season for the club, as they finished sixth in the Premier League table and failed to win a trophy.

Ronaldo still has another year left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, with an additional 12 months, but a recent report claimed that he was looking to leave Man United in the current market.

The team's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League was said to be a huge issue for the experienced striker.

Meanwhile, it was claimed that Ronaldo is unsure of his position in the team under Erik ten Hag, as the Dutchman's sides have been built on players pressing from the front.

However, according to Sport Witness, despite the recent speculation, the Portugal international has no plans to seek a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Roma and Sporting Lisbon have been mentioned as possible suitors for Ronaldo, with his agent Jorge Mendes said to be actively looking for a new club.

However, the former Sporting youngster is expected to remain with Man United for at least another season, with Ten Hag saying during his first press conference that he is counting on the forward for next term.

"Of course (looking forward to managing Ronaldo). Ronaldo? Goals! (what will he bring). I talk first with Ronaldo before I talk with you," the new head coach told reporters last month.

Ronaldo scored 18 goals and registered three assists in 30 Premier League appearances during the 2021-22 campaign, with the Red Devils finishing down in sixth position in the table.

He also netted six times in seven Champions League appearances, but Man United were knocked out by Atletico Madrid in the last-16 stage of the competition, losing 1-0 at home to the Spanish side in the second leg.

Edinson Cavani's departure on a free transfer has left the Red Devils short of numbers in the final third of the field, but the club are said to be currently prioritising improving their midfield.

Darwin Nunez had allegedly been a target for Ten Hag's side this summer, but Liverpool ultimately moved in to sign the Uruguay international in a big-money deal from Benfica.

Man United are due to begin pre-season training at the end of June, although Ronaldo will be granted extra time off due to his involvement for Portugal in the UEFA Nations League.
