Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian is now unlikely to move back to Serie A, according to a report.

Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian is now unlikely to move back to Serie A, according to a report.

The Italian international had allegedly agreed a move to Juventus at the end of the season, but according to The Mirror, the league champions are looking elsewhere for reinforcements.

The newspaper says that Juve will now target Bayern Munich full-back Juan Bernat, who has a year left on his contract and could be available for less than the £20m believed to be wanted for Darmian.

Darmian, who joined United from Torino in 2015, started only 11 times for the Red Devils in all competitions last term and previously said that he was "happy" to be of interest to Juve.

The 28-year-old has the option of an extra year at Old Trafford when his current deal expires at the end of next season.
