Ajax winger David Neres plays down talk of a move to Manchester United or Everton by reaffirming his commitment to the Dutch club.

Brazilian winger David Neres has suggested that he will not be leaving Ajax this summer, despite reported interest from Manchester United and Everton.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Dutch club, with both Premier League outfits apparently keen to bring him to England.

Neres has been attracting attention after scoring 12 goals in 50 appearances for Ajax during the 2018-19 season, helping them to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

However, he played down talk of a move away from the Johan Cruyff ArenA after being a part of the Brazil squad which enjoyed Copa America success last weekend.

After the 3-1 triumph over Peru in the final, Neres told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad: "I have to be back at Ajax on July 28. My future is with Ajax."

Ajax begin their 2019-20 campaign with a Super Cup showdown against PSV Eindhoven on July 27.
