Edinson Cavani to join Manchester United?

Manchester United will make Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani their main summer transfer target, according to reports.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has made Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani his main summer transfer target, according to reports.

The Mirror claims that Van Gaal is willing to sell striker Robin van Persie, who has struggled with injury this season, in order to make way for a £60m move for the Uruguayan.

United could face competition for Cavani's signature from rivals Arsenal.

Cavani signed for Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of around £40m in 2013, and has scored 24 goals in 57 league games for the French champions.
