Everton are allegedly ready to make an approach to sign Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes.
Having fallen out of favour at the Portuguese giants, Fernandes is expected to move to a Premier League club before the end of the January transfer window.
Due to his mother living in London and his being friends with several academy players, the 20-year-old is said to prefer a switch to West Ham United.
However, according to The Express, Carlo Ancelotti and Marcel Brands are due to hold talks regarding a possible approach for the youngster.
The report suggests that the Toffees favour an 18-month loan deal with the option of signing the player on a permanent basis in 2021.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Fernandes, who can play in a number of positions in midfield and on the flank.
