Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is reportedly only interested in a permanent move this summer, denting Manchester United's hopes of signing him on loan.

Gareth Bale will reportedly not consider leaving Real Madrid on loan this summer, despite supposed interest from Manchester United.

United are said to be prepared to offer Bale a way out of Madrid after growing frustrated in their efforts to sign Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.

The Wales international revealed earlier this month that he is open to a Premier League return, but the Daily Mail claims that he is only interested in a permanent exit.

Madrid are believed to be after around £22m for Bale, who was restricted to just 20 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish champions last season after being frozen out.

Bale's former club Tottenham Hotspur are also apparently in the running to sign the 31-year-old, with less than three weeks of the summer transfer window to run.
