Manchester United stopper Dean Henderson 'promises Sheffield United loan return'

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson allegedly indicates that he will return to Sheffield United next season if he does not become first choice at Old Trafford.

Dean Henderson has allegedly indicated that he sees his immediate future at Sheffield United if he does not break into the starting lineup at Manchester United.

In his second successive loan period at Bramall Lane, Henderson has established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in England, putting the Blades into contention for a place in next season's Champions League.

However, given the level of his performances, United could opt to keep Henderson at Old Trafford next season as backup to David de Gea.

According to the Daily Mail, that is a scenario which does not interest the 22-year-old, who wishes to continue earning regular action in the Premier League.

The report claims that Henderson has informed his current Sheff Utd teammates that he will return to the Yorkshire outfit if he does not become first choice at his parent club.

Man United remain in a strong position, however, with Henderson still having over two years left on his contract.
