Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness rules out the prospect of Robert Lewandowski leaving the club this summer, despite the striker wanting a new challenge.

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has ruled out the possibility of Robert Lewandowski leaving the club this summer, despite growing speculation over the striker's future.

Lewandowski's agent last month revealed that his client had told the club that he was eager to leave in search of a new challenge, prompting interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Hoeness has rubbished claims that the club have put a €200m (£176.3m) asking price on the head of the Poland international and insists that he will still be at the Allianz Arena next season.

"A €200m price tag is nonsense. Robert will not be sold and will play next season with us. Everything has been said about that," Hoeness told Sky in Germany.

Lewandowski has scored 151 goals in 195 appearances for Bayern, helping the club to four successive Bundesliga titles.
