Juventus have reportedly decided to rival Manchester United for the signature of Roma defender Kostas Manolas.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed an impressive five-year spell at the Stadio Olimpico, but it appears likely that the Greece international will leave his current club at the end of the campaign.
United have been linked with an approach for the centre-back, but according to Correire dello Sport, Juventus are ready to launch their own bid in the coming weeks.
The report claims that Juventus are willing to meet Manolas's €36m (£31.06m) release clause as early as possible in order to win the race for the player.
There is a suggestion that Manolas's representative Mino Raiola is likely to play an 'important role' in the transfer.
