Midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has suggested that he intends to snub interest from the Premier League in order to remain with Roma.
Since last summer, Pellegrini has been linked with a switch to either Manchester City, Manchester United or Liverpool having only been used on a rotational basis at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, the Italy international has claimed that he wants to fight for his place at the Serie A side rather than move to English football.
The 21-year-old told reporters: "It's important for young players to want to grow and improve but I'm really happy at the club where I grew up.
"The objective of every player is to win trophies and like [Daniele] De Rossi and [Francesco] Totti have stated in the past, winning a Scudetto here would be the equivalent of winning ten elsewhere."
Pellegrini has made 19 starts and 11 substitute appearances for Roma during the current campaign.
