Manchester United reportedly agree a five-year contract with defender Alex Telles ahead of finalising a deal with Porto.

Manchester United have reportedly emerged as favourites to complete a deal for Porto defender Alex Telles.

While the left-back has established himself as one of his current team's star men, less than 12 months remain on his contract.

That has inevitably led to interest in his signature, including from United, who have seemingly missed out on the signing of Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon.

According to RMC Sport, the 27-year-old has agreed to pen a contract at Old Trafford until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Although United are yet to reach a compromise over a fee with Porto, it has been suggested that Telles could cost in the region of £25m.

The Brazilian appears in line to feature ahead of Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams in the pecking order.
