Bruno Fernandes is reportedly a step closer to joining Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon after agreeing personal terms with the Red Devils on Monday.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with in-demand Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The Portugal international is on the radar of a number of European clubs after starring in Primeira Liga last season with 20 goals and 13 assists.

United are one of the sides in the running to sign the 24-year-old and, according to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, an agreement was struck with the player's representatives on Monday.

However, the Premier League giants still have to match Sporting's valuation, with their previous bid of £35m falling some way short.

Sporting are rumoured to be after more than £50m for Fernandes, who has also been touted as a target for Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool this summer.
