Manchester United goalkeeper loaned to Carlisle United

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos moves to League One side Carlisle United on a one-month loan deal.

Carlisle United have completed the loan signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos.

Amos has moved to Brunton Park until December 14, and Carlisle boss Graham Kavanagh has revealed that the Old Trafford outfit were keen for the 23-year-old to play competitive football.

The 39-year-old told the club's official website: "As usual, Manchester United have been fantastic with us.

"They wanted him to come to us to play because he hasn't had games recently. They think very highly of him so this fits perfectly with what they want for him at the moment.

"I've seen him quite a few times over the years and he's a good, all-round keeper."

Amos hasn't been granted permission to compete in the FA Cup for the Cumbrians.
