Manchester United, Liverpool 'learn Carlos Vinicius price'

Benfica reportedly inform Manchester United and Liverpool that Carlos Vinicius will not be allowed to leave this summer for less than his £87.7m release clause.

Manchester United and Liverpool have reportedly been informed by Benfica that Carlos Vinicius will not be allowed to leave the Portuguese club for anything less than his €100m (£87.7m) release clause.

The 25-year-old has been in impressive form at club level during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 20 times and providing 12 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.

A recent report claimed that both United and Liverpool were keeping tabs on the forward ahead of potential moves during this summer's transfer window.

However, according to The Mirror, Benfica have told the English duo that offers of less than the Brazilian's buy-out figure will be swiftly rejected.

Vinicius, who is also thought to be interesting Wolverhampton Wanderers, joined the Eagles from Napoli last summer after loan spells with Rio Ave and Monaco.

The South American's existing contract at the Estadio da Luz is due to run until June 2024.
