Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Copa del Rey fixtures, including Ponferradina vs. Real Sociedad.

La Liga's basement side Real Valladolid will be bidding to book their spot in the last-16 stage of the Copa del Rey when they head to third-tier outfit Ourense CF on Sunday.

Real Valladolid entered the winter break in Spain off the back of a 3-0 loss to Girona in La Liga, while Ourense suffered a 2-1 defeat to Real Sociedad B in their final match of 2024.

We say: Ourense CF 1-2 Real Valladolid

Despite Real Valladolid's struggles, it would be a huge shock if they did not progress to the next round; Ourense have the tools to harm the La Liga outfit, but we are expecting the visitors to secure their position in the last-16 stage of the Copa del Rey.

Elche vs. Las Palmas (Sunday, 11.00am)

Las Palmas will travel to Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero for Sunday's meeting with Elche in the third round of the Copa del Rey.

The Segunda Division side are unbeaten in seven competitive matches, while the top-flight outfit have avoided defeat in each of their last five games.

We say: Elche 1-2 Las Palmas

The two sides will both head into the cup tie in high spirits after putting together a strong set of results in the final stages of 2024.

As a result, we expect Elche and Las Palmas to produce a close-fought affair at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero, but we believe the top-flight visitors will do enough to claim a narrow win, especially after winning three of their last four away matches.

Real Sociedad will be aiming to book their spot in the last-16 stage of the Copa del Rey when they take on third-tier outfit Ponferradina on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors suffered a 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo in their last match in La Liga before the winter break, but Ponferradina will bring a four-game winning run into the clash in the last-32 stage of the Copa del Rey.

We say: Ponferradina 0-2 Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad have scored six times and conceded zero in their two Copa del Rey matches this season, and we are fully expecting the Basque side to secure another victory here in order to progress to the last-16 stage of the competition.

Campos de Sport de El Sardinero will play host to an intriguing clash in the Copa del Rey on Sunday afternoon, as Segunda Division outfit Racing de Santander welcome La Liga team Celta Vigo.

Racing are currently third in Spain's second tier, with the team pushing for a return to the top flight, while Celta sit 11th in La Liga, and the visitors have been victorious in three of their last four matches in all competitions.

We say: Racing de Santander 1-2 Celta Vigo

This is a fascinating match, as Racing have had a strong campaign in the Segunda Division, and there is no question that the hosts have the tools to harm Celta on Sunday. That said, the Sky Blues will be able to call upon the greater quality, and we are expecting the visitors to navigate their way into the round of 16 this weekend.

La Liga outfit Leganes will be aiming to book their spot in the last-16 stage of the Copa del Rey when they take on Segunda Division outfit Cartagena in the competition on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors suffered a 5-2 defeat to Villarreal in their last top-flight match ahead of the winter break in Spain, while Cartagena will enter the contest off the back of a goalless draw with Albacete in the second tier.

We say: Cartagena 1-2 Leganes

Cartagena are capable of making this a tough match for Leganes, who have not convinced in the competition this season. However, we are expecting the La Liga outfit to navigate their way into the last-16 stage of the tournament.
