Manchester United reportedly remain interested in trying to secure a deal for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati.
Earlier this month, it was suggested that the Premier League giants had been told that £89m would not be enough to sign the 17-year-old, whom Barcelona view as a big part of their future.
However, according to Sport, United are not ready to give up on their pursuit of the teenager, aware that the Catalan giants may be open to player sales during the next transfer window.
Although another bid is unlikely to come close to matching Fati's £151m release clause, the report indicates that United are willing to make an improved proposal for the prospect over the coming months.
Unless there is a change of stance, president Josep Maria Bartomeu is expected to hold out for the set figure in Fati's contract.
The winger has contributed five goals and one assist from 18 outings in La Liga and the Champions League this season.
