Manchester United showing interest in Odion Ighalo, Islam Slimani?

Manchester United are reportedly contemplating launching surprise bids for Shanghai Shenhua striker Odion Ighalo and Leicester City forward Islam Slimani.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Odion Ighalo and Islam Slimani as potential signings before the end of January.

With just a week remaining until the end of the transfer window, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is yet to find a replacement for the injured Marcus Rashford.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the Norwegian has added Ighalo and Slimani to his shortlist of potential incomings.

Ighalo, formerly of Watford, has enjoyed a productive spell in China, netting 46 goals from 62 outings for Changchun Yatai and current club Shanghai Shenhua.

Meanwhile, out-of-favour Leicester City forward Slimani has impressed on loan at Monaco during the opening half of the campaign.

With the Foxes likely being against strengthening a Premier League rival, United may have more success with an approach for Nigeria international Ighalo.
