A number of Manchester United staff members reportedly have concerns over the club's transfer plans ahead of next season.

With several players out of contract and others potentially looking for a way out of Old Trafford, the first-team squad faces the prospect of a major overhaul.

However, that will likely be hindered should United fail to qualify for the Champions League, a more realistic possibility now that they have been eliminated from this year's competition.

According to The Telegraph, several United staff feel that United may be under-prepared when it comes to bringing in the right players before 2022-23.

As well as being underdogs to stay at European football's top table, the report suggests that there are fears about the delay with implementing a strategy alongside any new manager.

Although current interim boss Ralf Rangnick is expected to move behind the scenes in an advisory capacity, the German will likely want to start work alongside a new boss before formulating a shortlist of targets.

Mauricio Pochettino, Erik ten Hag and Thomas Tuchel have all been linked with a move to the Theatre Of Dreams.
