Manchester United 'to block Marcos Rojo exit'

Manchester United reportedly have no intention of parting ways with defender Marcos Rojo during the January transfer window.

Manchester United reportedly intend to keep Marcos Rojo at Old Trafford for the rest of the season.

During the closing days of the summer transfer window, Rojo was heavily linked with a switch to Everton, only for United to refuse to part ways with the left-sided defender for a cut-price fee.

The Argentina international had been expected to remain on the periphery of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad for the first half of the campaign.

However, the 29-year-old has made six starts and one substitute appearance in all competitions, which includes playing the full 90 minutes during the 1-1 draw with Liverpool in October.

According to The Sun, Solskjaer wants to keep Rojo in his squad at least until the end of the season, providing that United do not receive an offer that is too attractive to turn down.

Rojo effectively has just over two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
