Manchester United have reportedly made enquiries about highly-rated Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo amid interest from several clubs across Europe.

Manchester United have reportedly made enquiries about highly-rated Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, who has been on the radar of several European clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, leading up to the January transfer window.

Moscardo has played 24 matches in his debut season for the Brazilian outfit and opened his account for the senior team in their 4-2 win over Vasco da Gama earlier this week.

The Sao Paulo-based side are believed to have set a £26m valuation for the 18-year-old, who penned a new three-year contract with the club earlier this year.

According to a report from ESPN, Manchester United are the latest to reveal their interest in acquiring the services of the Brazilian, though they are expected to face stiff competition in landing his signature.

The report adds that Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have all previously made enquiries about the teenager.

In addition, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Luis Campos is believed to be set to head to Brazil to open talks with the player about a potential move to Ligue 1.

It is further understood that Corinthians also rejected an offer from Chelsea, believed to be in the region of £18m last summer, though The Blues are still keeping an eye on the 18-year-old and could return with an improved offer in January.

Man United have been linked with numerous players over recent weeks and are expected to look to strengthen their squad in the transfer window, with several current first-team players missing through injury and linked with moves away from Old Trafford.
