Manchester United are reportedly keen for Marcus Rashford to sign a new contract at Old Trafford despite his struggles during the 2021-22 campaign.
The 24-year-old has found it difficult to make his mark for the Red Devils this term, managing just five goals and two assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.
Rashford is allegedly considering his future at Old Trafford, while he faces a battle to secure a return to the England squad for the 2022 World Cup.
However, according to ESPN, despite the attacker's struggles for form, Man United want him to sign a new long-term contract with the 20-time English champions.
The report claims that the Red Devils have attempted to reduce Rashford's off-field work to allow him to focus on revitalising his football career, but the player intends to continue working on both fronts.
Man United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has said that it is up to the Englishman to regain his spot in the team on a regular basis.
Rashford's current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire in June 2023, but the club have the option of activating a 12-month extension.
