Sheffield United are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United midfielder James Garner on loan for the 2021-22 campaign.
The 20-year-old has been involved in Man United's preparations for the new season, but it is unclear whether he will be a part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-team squad this term.
The midfielder enjoyed two loan spells in the Championship last season, representing Watford on 20 occasions before joining Nottingham Forest, where he also made 20 appearances in the second tier.
According to The Sun, Forest want to re-sign the youngster this summer, but there is also serious interest from Sheffield United, who are preparing for life back in the Championship.
The report claims that the Blades are confident of winning the race for Garner's signature due to their strong relationship with the Red Devils.
The England Under-20s international has made seven first-team appearances for Man United but now only has 11 months left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
