Manchester United trying to beat Manchester City to Kevin De Bruyne's signature?

Manchester United are reportedly considering taking on Manchester City by entering the race for Wolfsburg's Kevin de Bruyne.

Manchester United are reportedly considering making a late move for Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgium international, who moved to the German club from Chelsea last year, has been heavily linked with United's local rivals Manchester City.

Reports have claimed that the former Premier League champions could pay £57m for the player, who left Chelsea for around £18m just 19 months ago.

However, according to Bild, United have entered the race for De Bruyne just eight days before the transfer window closes after they missed out on signing Pedro from Barcelona last week.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in signing the Belgian.
